Continuation of Assistance to the National Institute for Magistrates and Training Centre for Clerks
The Assistance was provided in the following areas:
- Institutional strengthening and capacity building with respect to the legal institutional set-up, operation, human resources support (education, training of the staff and trainers) and infrastructure development (equipment, Information Technology (IT) included);
- Sustainable development of the National Institute for Magistrates (NIM) and Training Center for Clerks (TCC) initial and continuous courses curricula, mainly in EU Law, transposition of the acquis communautaire, new crime areas and Human Rights, case management, IT skills, etc;
- Organisation of several training courses and one annual conference on specific matters of legal approximation with participation of EU and local magistrates, experts of public administration, university teachers, pleading lawyers, police officers, etc;
- Organisation of bi-monthly donor meetings for Ministry of Justice, Project Management Unit (PMU) and donors.
