Development of the SAEIMA Institutional and Administrative Capacity Regarding the European Integration and Law Approximation
The project aims at the enhancement and improvement of the law approximation in Latvia and at the development of appropriate structures and institutions for effective adoption and enforcement of the acquis.
In particular, the project consists of:
- Legal assistance to the parliamentary standing committees dealing with important draft laws transposing the acquis;
- Preparation of the committee staff to be able to independently deal with the problems rising during the adoption of legislation as well as to be more involved in the scrutiny of the implementation of existing laws.
