Monitoring of EU Education and Health Expenditure in Developing Countries
The project supported the qualitative and quantitative monitoring of expenditure on education and health in developing countries and promoted public debate and awareness on the goals already achieved by the European Union assistance in these areas.
Specifically, CESO provided a detailed overview of health and education expenditure made by the European Commission and Member States in developing countries from 2007 to 2009. A pilot study was conducted in a selection of recipient countries, involving an analysis of expenditure and its classification in the national context.
