Evaluation of the Artisanal Fisheries Development Project
This intervention analysed the feasibility of a project to be funded by the African Development Bank, which was aimed to improve food security and significantly decrease imports, through an increase of fish production and of the population’s income.
To this purpose, a technical analysis was carried out (including on the capacity of trade circuits to meet local demand, exports and the fishing credit system), as well as an economic analysis of the project (impact on the economy and on the State Budget), costs were estimated, operating budgets were prepared, the indicators of economic and financial profitability were calculated, and a proposal for a project financing scheme was elaborated.
