Technical Assistance to the Urban Social Inclusion Project
The project contributed to the social, economic and cultural inclusion of the most vulnerable groups in São Paulo city centre. The service provision of high quality to the Sao Paulo Municipality included:
- Identify and register the socially excluded population, in order to enable them to benefit from the existing and future public and non-public programmes;
- Increase income generation and application opportunities, and foster various forms of solidarity economy microbusinesses that include socially excluded groups;
- Increase women’s inclusion, with special focus on the most vulnerable and exposed groups (youth, elderly and Afro-descent women);
Strengthen the management model of large-scale social inclusion programmes in the neighbourhoods around central Sao Paulo.
