National Irrigation Plan for Angola (PLANIRRIGA) - Phase II: Economic, Social and Financial Feasibility Analysis
PLANIRRIGA is a plan to support regional and national development, based on the sustainable development of irrigated agriculture in all river basins in Angola.
In this second phase of the project, the main activities were the following:
- Identification of the sectors of production that are suitable to each of the 11 river basin regions, in order to enable the corresponding agricultural planning;
- Preparation of pre-feasibility studies for each sector of production, taking into account the agricultural planning to be made;
- Proposal of the most appropriate institutional framework to the plan’s objectives.
