What can we learn from the European experience regarding contact tracing tools to combat COVID-19?
In general terms, how is the data protection situation in Europe and Brazil?
To address these issues, the webinar Data Protection Regulations and the Fight against COVID-19, co-organized by the EU-Brazil Sector Dialogues Support Facility and Lapin-BR took place last June 12.
The event featured representatives from the Embassy of the European Union (EU) in Brazil, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Justice and Consumers (DG JUST), the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovations and Communications (MCTIC), the University of Brasilia (UnB), the French Data Protection Authority (CNIL), Access Now and the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL).
