National Artificial Intelligence Strategy and Legal Framework

As part of Cabo Verde's digital transformation and with the support of the European Union, we are looking for two specialists to lead the development of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy and the corresponding Legal Framework.

This strategic initiative aims to position Cabo Verde as a digital and innovation hub in Africa, promoting ethical and inclusive AI aligned with international standards.

Open Positions:

// Lead AI Strategy Specialist (Team Leader)

Profile:

• Advanced degree in Data Science, IT, AI, or related fields;
• 5+ years of experience in national or regional digital economy or AI strategies;
• Knowledge of the African context, preferably Cabo Verde;
• Fluency in English (Portuguese is desirable).

Profile:

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Law, with specialization or experience in Technology Law, Intellectual Property, or Data Protection;
5+ years of experience in legal frameworks related to AI, digital policy, or similar fields;
Fluency in Portuguese and English.

Work location: Praia, Cabo Verde 


Contract duration: 10 months

100 working days for the position of National Artificial Intelligence Strategy
40 working days for the position of Legal Framework
