The European Union (EU) and Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) have a longstanding relationship based on commitment to fundamental freedoms, sustainable development and a strong set of rules based on the international system.
In response to changing global and regional realities, the EU aims to strengthening and modernising this relationship, establishing a partnership of equals that becomes a pillar for free, open and inclusive societies and a driver of a strong and fair multilateral order.
The Project Latin America and the Caribbean - Policy Dialogue Support Facility (PDSF EU-LAC) aims to deepen the EU’s engagement with the region on thematic areas of strategic interest. It will seek to advance policy dialogues where there is a high potential to advance, focusing on regional groups and countries who are willing and able to go further to promote common goals.
The PDSF will contribute ultimately to bring concrete returns for the EU’s foreign affairs policy goals in LAC, further progress towards policy and regulatory convergence and alignment of positions and policy objectives in the global arena.
CESO will be implementing this Technical Assistance, financed under the Foreign Policy Instrument, together with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) and the World Leadership Alliance Club de Madrid.
The PDSF EU LAC will be implemented until August 2023.
